League Of Rock J.A.B. Session Draft Event on Wednesday, March
28th 2007 At The Amazing Gibson Guitar Artist Showroom!
The Gibson Guitar Artist showroom was rocking when the League
Of Rock came to town to launch their first J.A.B. session with
the draft event. There were lineups that caused a stir from the
locals as the members got ready to meet their band mates and have
a chance to jam with other league members and coaches.
The crowd was made up of league members and some impressive Canadian
rockers, including Alan Frew, Dave Betts, Sam Reid, Dan Clancy,
Joey Serlin, Steve Shelski and many others along with Keith Pelley
(President Of the Toronto Argonauts). It was great to see the
worlds of Bay street business and Rock 'n' Roll collide in such
a great venue.
The event kicked off with media personality Erica Ehm introducing
the League Founder Terry Moshenberg, who gave a short speech that
laid the groundwork of how the J.A.B. Sessions will work. Then
Glass Tiger's Alan Frew inspired the crowd with stories from his
career in the music business. The draft then went off with out
a hitch as musicians met with their new bands for the first time
and got to discussing their plans for the next ten weeks.
Then came the thing that everyone was there to hear - THE
MUSIC.
The jam started out with a band of coaches featuring Alan Frew
on vocals, Steve Shelski on guitar (Who tore it up!), Andrew Buntain
on bass, and league creative producer Topher Stott on drums. After
a great take on the Free tune "All Right Now", the jam was opened
up to the members and the fun began with some great music played
throughout the night.
It was a great start to the first J.A.B. Session, Thanks so much
to the volunteers and everyone that attended and made it the great
night that it was!!
Thanks Again, The LOR Production Team
